Sixth-Grader arrested after not standing for the Pledge of Allegiance

Access Unlocked Monday February 18, 2019 In Lakeland, Florida things escalated after an eleven (11) year-old refused to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

According to reports, a substitute teacher became upset because the child would not stand for the Pledge and he informed her, it and the flag was racist towards black people. Then substitute then reached out to school officials, which included law enforcement.

The sixth-grader continued to state, “the Pledge of Allegiance was racist.”

The youth was arrested for disrupting class and not following commands, provided by police and school staff. He is now facing misdemeanor charges.
